The Northeastern Midget Association will make five appearances at Connecticut tracks in 2013.
NEMA announced a 12-race schedule for 2013 that features events at all three Connecticut short tracks.
The series opens its 2013 as part of the Budwesier Blastoff at the Waterford Speedbowl April 6-7.
The series returns to the Speedbowl for the Shane Hammond Memorial July 27. The series will also be part of the closing weekend at the Speedbowl, Oct. 5-6.
The division will once again be a part of the Extreme Saturday show at Stafford Motor Speedway June 29.
NEMA closes its season as part of the World Series of Speedway Racing at Thompson International Speedway Oct. 19-20.
The division will make also make appearances at Lee USA Speedway in Lee, N.H. (May 31, July 12, Oct. 12-13), Star Speeedway in Epping, N.H. (June 8), Monadnock Speedway in Winchester, N.H. (June 22), Seekonk (Mass.) Speedway (July 17) and Oswego (N.Y.) Speedway (Sept. 14).
“We’ve run hundreds of races on these tracks,” NEMA president Mike Scrivani said in a release. “That coupled with a field of good drivers and great equipment is a recipe for a great season. Last year saw some terrific speeds. We’ll be quicker this year.”
A 14-race scheduled was announced Tuesday for the NEMA Lites with appearances scheduled at Waterford (April 6, July 27, Oct. 5) and Stafford (June 29).
